Movement is Medicine
At Gnarabup Yoga Studio, we understand that mental health and well-being are just as important as physical health. We believe that movement is medicine and that yoga has the power to improve both the body and the mind. Our approach to yoga is grounded in the idea that the practice is about much more than just physical exercise - it is a holistic system that integrates breath, movement, and mindfulness to cultivate greater awareness, balance, and resilience.
Through our classes and workshops, we aim to create a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore their practice and learn tools to manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. We believe that yoga has the ability to promote relaxation, reduce tension, and enhance emotional regulation, and we are committed to sharing these benefits with our community.
At Gnarabup Yoga Studio, we see ourselves as partners in our students' health and well-being journeys. Our knowledgeable and experienced instructors will meet you wherever you are on your journey and support you to achieve your wellness goals. Yoga Teacher + Powerhouse
Mal started this journey as a farmer in Kojonup. Wanting to "dig a bit deeper," he travelled the globe for a couple of years, meeting some remarkable people and having lots of fun. Eventually settling in Santa Monica, California, he was invited to a Bryan Kest Power Yoga class and was immediately hooked by the energy and the feeling of wellbeing. 25 years later and over 5,000 classes taught and attended, he is still as excited about getting on the mat as ever. He feels that the truth, which we all are drawn to instinctively, lies hidden in the body. Yoga takes us there!
Mal teaches a strong, challenging and invigorating class, suitable for everyone. He believes yoga cures EVERYTHING! - words by @sa.sa.marr

As with most yogis, Ayla is a wanderer and has been teaching for the last 7 years all over Australia and in the UK. She teaches a variety of styles, but her most preferred is a “Hatha meets Vinyasa” where she begins with gentle stretches and holds, builds up to dynamic flows, and finishes with a short meditation and deep relaxation. She’s extremely passionate about passing on to others, the tools that yoga has given her for her own personal development, mental and physical health, and overall life outlook. Ayla looks forward to sharing space with you and meeting you on the mat!
