Welcome Guide

Everything you need to know about your time with us

Untitled design (19).png

Your first class:

First things first... you don't need to be fit, flexible or experienced

Most of our members started exactly where you are.

You don't need to know the poses.
You don't need fancy activewear.
You don't need to be able to touch your toes.

You simply need to show up.

Our classes are designed with layers and options, meaning you can work at your own pace while receiving personalised guidance from your teacher.

Arriving For Your First Class

Please arrive 10 minutes before your first class. This gives us time to:

  • Welcome you to the studio

  • Show you around and give you a full reformer rundown

  • Help you get settled

  • Answer any questions

  • Our teachers will support you throughout the class and give you options. You're empowered and encouraged to make your own movement choices.

After your first visit, arriving 5 minutes early is perfect.

Ps. Our Yoga & Mat studio and Reformer Room are 2-doors down from each other.

Where do I park?

You'll find us inside Margarets Beach Resort in Gnarabup, right next to The Common and just moments from the ocean. There is plenty of free parking available nearby.

What should I bring?

Yoga, Mat Pilates & Mobility

  • Water bottle

  • Comfortable clothing you can move in

  • A yoga mat if you have one (we also provide mats and props)

Reformer Pilates

  • Water bottle

  • Comfortable activewear

  • Grip socks (required for safety and hygiene)

  • Forgot your grip socks? No worries. We have grip socks available for purchase or hire at the studio.

Infrared Heated Classes

  • Water bottle

  • Small towel

  • Lightweight clothing

  • Shirts required in all heated classes

Our infrared classes are heated to a gentle 24°C and are designed to warm the body without the intensity of traditional hot yoga.

Which class should I start with?

If you're brand new to movement:

  • Mobility

  • Yin Yoga

  • Mat Pilates

  • Reformer Fundamentals

If you're looking for a little more energy:

  • Yoga Flow

  • Reformer Flow

Still unsure? Reach out and we'll happily point you in the right direction.

What if I can't keep up?

You don't have to.

Our classes aren't about being the strongest, fittest or most flexible person in the room.

They're about helping you move well, feel better, reduce stress and create a routine that supports your life.

Rest whenever you need.
Modify whenever you need.
Your teacher will guide you.

You + Your Body

You know your body best.

If there's anything you'd like us to know before class, whether it's an injury, pregnancy, health condition, or you're simply feeling a little tired or tender that day, please let your teacher know.

We're here to support you, not push you. Our teachers can offer modifications and options to help you move safely, comfortably and confidently.

Anything you share with us will always be treated with care and respect.

New To Yoga Or Reformer?

Perfect.

Many of our members walk through the doors feeling nervous, unsure or convinced everyone else knows what they're doing.

The truth? Most people are too busy focusing on their own practice to notice what anyone else is doing.

Every class includes options and progressions, meaning you can move at your own pace and choose what feels right for your body.

Rest when you need.
Modify when you need.
Ask questions whenever you need.

We're here to help.

Please Arrive On Time

To help create a calm and enjoyable experience for everyone, the studio door may be locked shortly after class begins.

Unfortunately, late arrivals may not be able to join once class has started.

If you're running late, please call or text us and we'll do our best to help.

The Friendly Fine Print:

Cancelling A Class

Life happens, and we completely understand.

If you can no longer attend, please cancel your booking through Momence at least 4 hours before class begins. This gives someone on the waitlist an opportunity to enjoy the spot you've reserved.

Please note:

  • Cancellations made within 4 hours of class start time are considered a late cancellation.

  • Late cancellations incur a $15 fee for yoga & $20 fee for reformer

  • Failure to attend a booked class without cancelling incurs a $15 no-show fee for yoga & $25 fee for reformer.

  • Class credits are forfeited for both late cancellations and no-shows.

These policies help ensure classes remain accessible and fair for everyone in our community, especially when waitlists are involved.

Checking In

All students are required to check in with their teacher at the beginning of class.

If you forget to check in, our system may record your booking as a no-show, which can result in a no-show fee being applied.

Checking in takes just a few seconds and helps us keep attendance records accurate for both members and teachers.

Waitlists

If a class is full, don't worry, jump on the waitlist.

Spots often become available as plans change, and our waitlist system works hard behind the scenes to fill every available place.

Here's how it works:

  • When a spot becomes available, the first person on the waitlist receives an SMS invitation to claim it.

  • The spot is temporarily reserved while they decide.

  • They have 10 minutes to accept the booking.

  • If they don't respond within 10 minutes, the invitation automatically moves to the next person on the waitlist.

  • This process continues until the spot is filled.

If you're on a waitlist, keep an eye on your phone, especially in the hours leading up to class.

Refunds & Transfers

We kindly ask that you choose your memberships, passes and sessions carefully, as we generally do not offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind

  • Missed classes

  • Unused memberships or credits

  • Studio closures due to circumstances outside of our control

If exceptional circumstances arise, please reach out. We'll always do our best to find a fair and reasonable solution where possible.

For safety, insurance and attendance purposes, memberships, class packs and session credits cannot be transferred between people. Every member must have their own account and booking profile.

Studio Etiquette

Our studio exists to help people slow down, move well and feel supported.

We ask that everyone helps us create that experience by:

  • Being kind and respectful

  • Silencing phones before class

  • Respecting personal space

  • Returning props after use

  • Supporting fellow members

  • Listening to your body

This is a judgement-free space.

No egos.
No pressure.
No expectations.

Just good people moving together.

After Class

Don't rush off if you don't need to.

Many friendships have started over a chat after class, a coffee at White Elephant, or an ocean dip down the road.

Community is one of the most beautiful parts of what we do here.

We're so glad you're part of it.

Welcome to Gnarabup Yoga Studio 🧡
